A Poem on Pain

A poem on pain by Chezie Beverley

Pain

Sometimes it’s hard to concentrate

When you’re in a lot of pain

You understand what people mean

When they say, things drive them insane

It’s a funny situation

There is nothing you can do

But

Wait a minute, stop and think

This saying is not true

There is something you can do

There is something you can say

You either whine like crazy

Or you quietly stop and pray

You can ask the Lord to help you

Or just sit down and mope

But if you do the latter

You’re bound not to cope

So

Stop now for a moment

And think on what I’ve said

You are better off rejoicing

Then moaning till you’re dead.
